What It Is Like at Ford Field

Attending a Detroit Lions game at Ford Field is very different from simply watching on television. The stadium is located in downtown Detroit, and on game days the streets around it fill with fans wearing blue and silver gear. Before kickoff people line up at the gates, talk about predictions for the game, and take pictures in front of the building. Once you walk inside, the first thing you notice is how loud it gets when the crowd reacts to a big play. The dome keeps the noise in, which makes third-down stops on defense feel even more intense.

During the game there are constant activities on the large video boards, music between plays, and the smell of stadium food everywhere. You can see families, long-time season ticket holders, and new fans all experiencing the same emotions at the same time. Even if the Lions are behind on the scoreboard, the crowd still finds ways to cheer and stay involved. Going to Ford Field at least once helps you understand why supporters stay loyal to the team year after year, because the experience is more about community and energy than just the final result.

Stadium View

The figure below represents an image of Ford Field. It uses the required figure and figcaption tags to describe the picture. Later I will replace the file name with an actual stadium photo stored in my images folder.

Detroit Lions Video Highlights

Motion is another important part of this website. For this requirement I am embedding a YouTube video that shows Detroit Lions highlights. The clip does not live on the student server; instead it is streamed directly from YouTube using the iframe tag, which follows the project rules for video. Visitors can play the video to see real game action after they read about the team and the stadium experience on this page.
